The secret of our success is based on basic human needs and the desire to live in a decent dynamic society. Its mission sprang from these needs is to seek an appropriate formula for the wellbeing of Cambodians. This mission statement has opened an opportunity for the association to preserve Khmer culture and create an appropriate environment for people to practice Theravada Buddhism in Auckland. The association aims 1. to promote mutual cultural and social understanding. 2. to encourage participation and practice of Buddhism from its members as well as people from the community as a whole. Its operations are 1. to manage a temple at 455 Porchester Road, Takanini for the cultural and social needs of Khmer people. 2. to teach Buddhism. 3. to acquire and create materials and services for information and education. 4. to provide outreach services for social needs.
